Flash Git
Dirk really enjoys learning his letters. Daddy made him some flash cards and Dirk can now verbally identify all of these letters:

This afternoon, Daddy tried testing Dirk on the following words:

Someone told me it's all happenin'
This week, Dirk learned to say a new word: "Giraffe."
So, Mummy bought him a toy giraffe.
Dirk loved it so much that today Mummy and Daddy took him to the zoo.
Here he is in the ticket queue, regarding the other children with unconcealed suspicion.
At this moment in Dirk's life, giraffes were four inches high and lions were a Flash animation. Boy, was he in for a surprise...
After lunch, Dirk saw elephants, cheetahs, bears, lions, chimps, wallabies, flamingoes and camels.
Here he's actually pointing at some strange little creatures hiding behind the bench. He gave chase, but they escaped his clutches!
Dirk enjoyed his trip to the zoo very much. Jasper slept.

Two years old today!
He enjoyed opening his presents and playing with all his lovely new sheets of wrapping paper.
Auntie Sarah and Uncle Kenny came to visit in the evening. They brought even more wrapping paper from themselves and from Auntie Kate and Uncle James.
Mummy and Daddy would just like to say that the last two years with Dirk have been fantastic. Special thanks go to Big Brother Connor, as he has inevitably had to yield centre-stage to the rampant Dirkster. Not only has he coped with having a little brother remarkably well personally, he clearly adores Dirk as much as Dirk adores him. Now if only Dirk can be as understanding about the latest Withnail...
