This week, Dirk learned to say a new word: "Giraffe."
So, Mummy bought him a toy giraffe.
Dirk loved it so much that today Mummy and Daddy took him to the zoo.
Here he is in the ticket queue, regarding the other children with unconcealed suspicion.
At this moment in Dirk's life, giraffes were four inches high and lions were a Flash animation. Boy, was he in for a surprise...
Penguins. No stammering.
What's Dirk seen...? A giraffe?
No! It's his new favourite. (And his latest word!!!)
RHINO !
Dirk's picnic.
After lunch, Dirk saw elephants, cheetahs, bears, lions, chimps, wallabies, flamingoes and camels.
Here he's actually pointing at some strange little creatures hiding behind the bench. He gave chase, but they escaped his clutches! Dirk enjoyed his trip to the zoo very much. Jasper slept.
After a quick look at the flowers, Dirk went shopping with Mummy, Daddy and Big Brother Connor. He went on a merry-go-round for the first time. After a very serious start, he relaxed and enjoyed it.
Don't ever get this blog wet. Keep it away from water.
But the most important thing, the thing you must never forget... no matter how much it may cry, no matter how much it begs, never NEVER read it after midnight!
I was born on 9 February 2006 at Luton & Dunstable Hospital. I weighed 9lbs. My Mummy is Elaine and my Daddy is Greg. I have a big brother called Connor, a little brother called Jasper and two cats called Tam and Queeg. I love them all very much.
